POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS WITH TURKMENISTAN WERE HELD IN THE STATE OF PALESTINE

On 26 March 2019, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State of Palestine took place in the city of Ramallah. From the Palestinian side, the talks were led by the Deputy Foreign Minister Mazen Shamia.

During the talks, the sides expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral Turkmen-Palestinian relations and noted the consistency in holding political consultations. The parties noted the effectiveness of the mechanism of mutual consultations to strengthen bilateral relations in various areas of cooperation, and also noted the role of political consultations in the development of relations at the sites of influential international organizations, in particular the United Nations and its subdivisions.

A detailed exchange of views took place on the development and strengthening of political, diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian relations. It was noted that these relations are the foundation of Turkmen-Palestinian cooperation.

Separately, issues of building relations in various sectors of the economy, services and business, cultural exchanges, sports and tourism were discussed.

The delegations of both countries expressed a unanimous opinion on the continuation of contacts at the level of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, as well as at the levels of various governmental structures and economic entities of both countries in various promising areas of activity with a view to further developing bilateral relations.
