Meeting of the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN in Geneva with a Representative of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

On February 13, 2025, the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Vepa Hajiyev, held a meeting with the Director of the Human Rights Council Treaty Mechanisms Division, Mr. Mahamane Cisse-Gouro.

During the discussion, the parties addressed issues of cooperation in the field of human rights, emphasizing Turkmenistan’s significant progress in this area. The interlocutor highly appreciated the achievements made, noting that the level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the relevant UN structures has reached a new qualitative level.

Both sides expressed mutual satisfaction with the dynamics of bilateral engagement and underscored the importance of continuing constructive dialogue and exchanging experiences in the promotion and protection of human rights.

The meeting took place in a positive and friendly atmosphere, reaffirming the commitment of both sides to further deepen cooperation within the framework of Turkmenistan's systematic fulfillment of its international human rights commitments.
