Тhe delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the regional review meeting "Beijing+30"

On October 21, 2024, the delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the regional review meeting "Beijing+30," dedicated to key trends in gender equality within the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) region.

At the plenary session, the Head of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, Oguljennet Berdiliyeva, delivered a speech on behalf of Turkmenistan, highlighting the significant progress the country has made in promoting gender equality and empowering women. She emphasized the importance of measures aimed at enhancing women's social engagement in various sectors of society and creating favorable conditions for their professional development.

In her speech, the Head of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan also underscored the country’s commitment to international obligations regarding women's rights and their increased participation in public and political life. Under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan, the country has successfully implemented programs to improve women's access to education, healthcare, and to enhance their economic opportunities.

Turkmenistan's participation in the "Beijing+30" events reaffirms its active stance on women's rights protection and its dedication to further advancing international cooperation in this field. The delegation of Turkmenistan expressed its readiness to continue working within the framework of the UN gender equality program and to share its experience in addressing important issues in this area.
