An International Conference “Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities in the Interests of Children” Held in the City of Arkadag

On March 29, 2025, the city of Arkadag hosted an international conference titled “Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities in the Interests of Children,” dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

This large-scale event was attended by leaders and representatives of government agencies and public organizations from Uzbekistan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, Tajikistan, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, India, Georgia, Armenia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Austria, as well as international organizations.

Among the participants of the conference were heads and representatives of ministries and government agencies of Turkmenistan, public organizations, higher educational institutions, and media outlets.

Celebrating the 4th anniversary of its establishment in the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, the Foundation was founded at the initiative of the Hero-Arkadag.

In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a policy aimed at raising a healthy, happy, patriotic, morally strong, and courageous younger generation is being successfully implemented. Modern kindergartens, schools, and sports and health complexes have been built throughout the country, creating favorable living conditions for happy children, enabling them to receive quality education, broaden their horizons, and develop high moral values.

In Turkmenistan, ensuring the healthy development of the younger generation—both physically and spiritually—and protecting the health of mothers and children is one of the priority areas of state policy. The establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship is a testament to the care and attention paid to every child. Such noble deeds are rooted in the humane traditions of our ancestors.
