The trilateral Summit of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan is taking place in Awaza.

A trilateral high-level meeting has begun in the National Tourist Zone “Awaza” on the Caspian Sea coast, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to "TDH", this international event marks a qualitatively new stage in relations between the countries of the region.
“At present, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan are effectively cooperating in various fields, including the political and diplomatic sphere, which is the main condition for ensuring universal peace and sustainable development in the region. The organization of a high-level meeting between neighboring countries on the Caspian Sea coast has deep significance. It also contributes to strengthening the status of the National Tourist Zone ‘Awaza’ as a center for holding important international events,” the agency’s report notes.
As previously reported, the summit agenda in Awaza includes issues of developing and deepening multilateral cooperation in trade and the economy, transport and communications, energy, and humanitarian areas. A number of joint documents are expected to be signed following the summit.
