Statement of Turkmenistan at the 59th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council

On June 17, in Geneva, the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan delivered a statement at the plenary meeting of the UN Human Rights Council.

In its statement, Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of strengthening trust, dialogue, and adherence to international law as the foundation for peace and sustainable development. The country highlighted the significance of the UN General Assembly resolution proclaiming 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, and underscored the contribution of Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality to ensuring regional stability and advancing preventive diplomacy.

Turkmenistan called on Member States to reinforce collective responsibility, respect for international norms, and the promotion of human rights in all their dimensions.
